Mădălina Butuc

Romania

Thirst for science and passion for human health were the incentives for Mădălina to graduate from Victor Babeş University of Medicine and Pharmacy with a MPharm degree and continue with a 3-year programme to obtain her specialty in Clinical Pharmacy from Ministry of Health in Romania.  Additionally, during her studies she had the tremendous opportunity to study with Erasmus scholarship, for a semester, at University of Milan in Italy.

Mădălina believes that by engaging in side projects comes valuable knowledge and versatile skill set. Therefore, she has participated in the European Health Parliament as member of the Committee on Health Literacy & Self-Care. The results of this multidisciplinary movement were policy recommendations and actionable solutions committed to “Making Europe Health Literate by 2025”.

Previously, she has worked as a local trainer for Elsevier and as a hospital pharmacist, thus gaining relevant information about scientific publishing, research metrics, management of medicine and medical devices in the hospital.

For Mădălina, joining the Angels Initiative and following their simple mission seemed like the perfect way to contribute to the advancing of healthcare in Romania.
