Graduated in Pharmacy from State University of Maringá. During this period, I did internships in pharmaceutical industries in Brazil at R&D area, and I also worked as a project manager in a Jr pharmaceutical advisory and consultancy company. After my graduation, I was admitted as a master student in the same university, working in the developing process of new molecules and pharmacology (inflammatory diseases). I had the opportunity to make my research internship at University of Alberta in Canada, and specialization course in pharmacology and therapeutic. After completing my master’s degree, I was admitted as a PhD student in neuropsychopharmacology area, researching new drugs for the treatment of brain ischemia. Throughout this academic journey as PhD student, I got a double degree at State University of Maringá and Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Currently, I’m working as a scientific consultant in the Angels initiative at Boehringer-Ingelheim. Excitement is the word to describe my feeling about this project that is so important to give a second chance for the patients with stroke. Working on this project using my expertise to train professionals, and help to implement improving stroke centers, is undoubtedly a very rewarding mission.
