About this training

The goal of the decision making phase is to improve the quality and consistency of treatment decisions in the hyperacute phase in order to ensure that patients receive appropriate therapy. Targets for recanilisation therapy could be based on the ESO Angels Awards with 5% minimum and 15% target of all ischaemic strokes.

This section suggests a 4 step approach to standardising the hyperacute treatment decision making process. These 4 steps are: Diagnosis, Exclude bleeding, Severity assessment and Contraindications to treatment.

Tools in this section are aimed at reinforcing these 4 steps through presentations, checklists and online patient simulations.
