Brazil

I graduated with a nursing degree in 2001, postgraduated in cardiorrespiratory therapy intensive care and MBA in hospital management. I worked as a teacher of the training course of nursing technicians and coordinator in the Brazilian Red Cross, nurse of emergency room, intensive care unit, coronary therapy unit, and later as supervisor of intensive care units, coronary unit and supervisor of clinical protocols. After a few years of assistance, I felt the desire to share knowledge and to continue saving lives in a different way.

When I received the proposal to work on the Angels Initiative and bring the knowledge to care for patients with stroke, I saw a great opportunity to pursue this inspiring mission of saving lives and minimizing patient suffering. I am most fulfilled when I see the result of the work carried out in the Angels initiative, to see in the eyes of the trained professionals the happiness in learning how to properly attend, treat and take care of the patient, in order to assist an institution to qualify by becoming a reference in the service.
