Alicia received her Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology with specialization in Biomedicine from the University of Cadiz, Spain, where she worked as researcher trainee in the Immunology Department for two years. During that period, she acquired thorough knowledge of basic research, carrying out the development of a next-generation atherosclerosis treatment based on CAR T cells.

After that, she decided to direct her professional career to the clinical research, studying a Master’s Degree in Medical Affairs and Clinical Trial Monitoring, which enabled her to obtain additional insight on the work that is being conducted in the Medical Departments of pharmaceutical companies. Therefore, she started working as Medical Advisor and Medical Writer in Dynamic Solutions, designing clinical trials (protocols, CRF, clinical reports) and preparing abstracts and posters for international congresses. Subsequently, she continued gaining experience inside the Medical Department as she worked as Medical Science Liaison in Dermatology for Sesderma, giving trainings for physicians, pharmacists and sales department and participating in several congresses.

Becoming an Angels Initiative Consultant allows Alicia not only growth professionally, but personally, because she is passionate about giving stroke patients the opportunity to improve their life, contributing to make the world a better place.
