Araceli García

Spain

Araceli has a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the Complutense University of Madrid and a master’s in leadership and management of scientific departments in the pharmaceutical industry from the ESAME Pharmaceutical Business School in Madrid where she graduated with honours.

During her undergraduate studies she completed an internship as a hospital pharmacist at Infanta Sofía Universitary Hospital. As a new graduate working in a pharmacy office, she discovered her interest in helping patients. Her business qualification from ESAME subsequently opened the possibility for helping the community in a more global way.

Her first experience in the pharmaceutical industry was at Janssen Cilag where she was involved in the organisation and development of RWE clinical trials. She later joined the market access and public affairs department at Sobi, a pharmaceutical company focused on improving the lives of people with rare diseases. This experience gave her a deep understanding of what can be done to improve patient care, as well as valuable insights into the pricing and reimbursement process of medicines in Spain.

Becoming an Angels consultant gives expression to her desire to impact the lives of patients from a global perspective. It allows her to soak up the Angels spirit of doing whatever it takes to give life a chance, and to build a legacy by improving stroke treatment in Span.
