Chui Yeng graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Nutrition Science from the National University of Malaysia, having chosen this major to empower herself, her family, and her community with the knowledge of nutrition to improve health and prevent disease. While studying she became involved in community service projects in rural areas to improve public health awareness on nutrition, and became aware of the great disparity in their access to nutrition knowledge and nutritious food compared to more developed towns.
She worked as a nutrition consultant with multinational food companies, filling the gaps in nutritional knowledge of infant and adult nutrition among the healthcare professionals and the public community, before joining Boehringer Ingelheim in 2020. As a medical representative, her goal was to improve the lives of patients living with cardio-renal-metabolic conditions with evidence-based medications.
Chui Yeng joined Angels in 2025, inspired by its noble cause, and the impact made by her fellow Angels colleagues on stroke care in Malaysia and worldwide. She says, “My vision and hope is that everyone in Malaysia will have access to optimal stroke care, to save and improve more stroke patients’ lives, and give more lives a second chance.”
