Claudia Romero

Claudia has a Medical Degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, Mexico. In 2018 she started working in the department of pharmacovigilance in Doctors Hospital in Monterrey, Mexico, before moving to the emergency department of San Vicente hospital as an emergency consult physician.

In 2020, at the start of the Covid pandemic, she became an UCI support physician in Hospital San José TecSalud of the Tecnológico de Monterrey where she obtained a performance recognition. After working as a first responder for the duration of the sanitary emergency, she transferred to the investigation department of TecSalud as a clinical trial investigator for CureVac vaccine protocol were she also completed a certification in Clinical Investigation.

Also at TecSalud, she worked as the hospitalist the the Neurosciences department where she completed a certification in Quality Medicine, and was a co-organiser of the first hybrid congress, Actualidades de Neurología y Neurocirugía, in November 2021.

In March 2023, Claudia joined the ANGELS Initiative, her experience with Code Stroke in TecSalud having reinforced her belief in the positive impact of well-trained hospitals on stroke patients’ lives.

Claudia is the Angels consultant for the northern region of Mexico (Baja California Norte y Sur, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León y Tamaulipas).
