Claudia Ferrer

Spain

Claudia studied Biotechnology at the Universitat Politècnica de València, driven by a genuine passion for how science, technology, and innovation can improve people’s health and quality of life. From the early stages of her academic journey, she was motivated by the potential of scientific progress to deliver tangible benefits for patients and society, contributing to solutions that make a real difference.

Initially unsure whether to pursue a career in research or industry, a gap year became a defining step in shaping her professional path. During this time, she completed an internship in the Medical Department at Procter & Gamble Germany, where she immersed herself in the field of Neurology. Her work included conducting literature research and supporting global launch activities, an experience that strengthened her interest in the therapeutic area and guided her toward a more applied and impact‑driven professional direction.

With a clear determination to build her career within the healthcare sector, Claudia completed a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Industry at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. As part of the program, she developed her Master’s thesis at Laboratorios Ferrer, reinforcing her ambition to contribute to patient‑focused initiatives and to use data analysis to support informed decision‑making.

She later joined Abbott Germany, where she leveraged her creativity to work on customer communication and develop medical materials based on real‑world evidence to support the sales force. This role further developed her expertise in value communication and stakeholder engagement, while deepening her motivation to work in real clinical settings and interact directly with healthcare professionals.

Driven both by this aspiration and by the opportunity to return to Spain, Claudia joined Angels, where she aims to create meaningful impact. She is deeply committed to the Angels mission, ensuring that every minute saved becomes a life protected and helps reduce the burden of stroke for patients and their families. Working closely with hospitals and emergency medical services, her purpose is clear: to turn knowledge into action, collaboration into progress, and trust into better outcomes for every stroke patient in her territory.
