Linda Serra

Italy

Linda received her master’s degree in Experimental and Applied Biology from the University of Sassari, graduating with honours. Being fascinated by genetics and developmental biology, she received her PhD in Translational and Molecular Medicine from the University of Milano-Bicocca, in co-tutorship with the Universitè Cote d’Azur, in 2020.

During her PhD she deepened her research path in neuroscience, investigating the genetic mechanisms underlying the development of the visual system and more generally of the brain. She had the opportunity to attend scientific conferences and publish peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals.

Her interest in scientific research led her to the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan as a postdoctoral fellow for two years during which she explored the mechanisms and symptomatic reversibility of a severe paediatric epileptic encephalopathy.

Linda joined the Angels team with the mission to make a difference in improving the treatment pathway and the quality of life of stroke patients in her country.
