After graduating in Biotechnology from the University of Florence in 2009, Lorenza attended the University of Siena, where she achieved her Master degree with honours in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. Receiving her MSc thanks to an Erasmus scholarship she then had the opportunity to work in the Laboratory of Paediatric Infectious Diseases in The Netherlands.
She received her PhD in Molecular Medicine from the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele of Milano in 2015 and then spent one year in the Laboratory of Molecular Immunology and Immunopathology at Sapienza University of Rome, working as a postdoctoral fellow.
Lorenza’s desire for knowledge and her curiosity of discovery, have always guided her career in scientific and biomedical research and as a result she spent five years working in microbiology and immunology both in Italy and abroad.
Becoming an Angels Initiative Consultant allows Lorenza to shift her focus from scientific research to patient care and really bring about improvement to the life of patients, something she is passionate about.
