Angeline Uy is the Lead for the Angels Initiative in the Philippines, bringing a strong foundation in clinical care and extensive experience across the healthcare and pharmaceutical landscape. A registered nurse by profession, she began her career in acute care settings, including emergency, operating room, and medical-surgical units, where she developed a deep appreciation for the urgency, coordination, and system efficiency required in managing time-critical conditions such as stroke.
She later transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry, working closely with healthcare professionals within the neurology space and supporting evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes. In 2019, Angeline joined the Angels Initiative as an Angels Consultant, contributing to the development of stroke-ready hospitals and strengthening stroke systems in the Philippines. She subsequently expanded her role in Medical Affairs, supporting diverse therapeutic areas including rare diseases, cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic conditions, further enriching her cross-functional and strategic perspective in healthcare.
Returning to Angels as the Philippines Lead, Angeline brings together her clinical insight, scientific expertise, and system-level experience to advance stroke care nationwide. She is deeply committed to building sustainable stroke systems, empowering healthcare teams, and fostering collaboration across stakeholders to ensure timely and effective care for every patient.
