Omar Ahmed graduated from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Jordan, in 2018. The following year he started his career in the pharmaceutical industry in Iraq, as a Medical Representative, working in Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) and Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS).
This experience helped him build strong skills in scientific communication and supporting patient-focused care.
In late 2025, he joined Boehringer Ingelheim as a Medical Science Liaison responsible for the Angels Initiative .
Omar says, “I’m truly proud to be part of an initiative that helps save lives, protect memories, and give people a real chance to return to the best possible life after stroke.
“My goal is to support hospitals in becoming stroke-ready by strengthening systems of care, developing clear, evidence-based pathways, and helping ensure healthcare professionals are well trained to deliver the best possible stroke care.”
