Dr. Al-Rukn graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, UAE University. He did his neurology postgraduate studies at Montreal Neurology Institute, McGill University, Canada. He pursued his Fellowship in Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke at Montreal General Hospital, Canada.
He is interested in acute stroke intervention and cerebral imaging. Dr. Al-Rukn is the Founder and Coordinator of the GCC Stroke Group and the MENA Stroke Group. His research areas of interest are acute stroke intervention and headache.
Currently, Dr. Al-Rukn is the President of the Emirates Neurology Society and Stroke Chapter.
