Dr. László Szapáry is an Associate Professor at the Neurology Department of University of Pécs Medical School in Hungary. He has nearly one hundred scientific publications, with particular research interests in the effectivity of antiplatelet therapy in stroke prevention, genetic factors of drug resistance, as well as endocrinologycal disturbances after stroke.

Having earned his medical degree in 1993, Dr. Szapáry became a Clinical Practitioner and Assistant Professor in the neurological department of University of Pécs Medical School. In 2004, he completed his Ph.D. with a summa cum laude distinction, and was appointed as Brain Disease Specialist by the Hungarian Stroke Society. 

Dr. Szapáry plays an active role in various organizations including the Hungarian Neurosurgery and Neurosurgeon Society, Hungarian Stroke Company, and is a board member of the Hungarian Neurosurgical Society.
