About this training

Course Introduction

Rehabilitation of stroke patients is an important treatment process based on specific therapeutic goals. Its effectiveness largely depends on the full commitment of a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and a nursing team. The implementation of early post-stroke rehabilitation as soon as possible (i.e., within the first 24 hours after the onset of a stroke, in the absence of contraindications [1]) is an extremely important element at this stage for preventing complications and reducing early mortality. Moreover, this approach allows for maximum use of the brain's potential for regeneration, thereby increasing the chance of restoring functions lost as a result of the disease. In a broader perspective, it is the beginning of the patient's journey towards regaining the ability to perform activities of daily living and returning to functioning in society.
