About this training
Body Interact is a virtual patient simulator designed for the education, training, and assessment of students and healthcare professionals. This course uses Body Interact to help learners apply their stroke care knowledge, think critically, and solve problems in a safe, simulated environment.
We recommend completing the "Stroke Basics Care" (ENG only) / “Stroke Basics for Nurses” (all other languages) course either before or in parallel with this course. This course is designed to enhance your knowledge and practical skills in stroke patient care.
Course Objective:
The primary objective of this course is to enhance clinical reasoning and decision-making skills in stroke care through realistic simulations. Participants will identify patients' primary conditions and take appropriate actions according to their roles. The course aims to improve the ability to make informed decisions in various clinical scenarios.
Course Structure:
The course is composed of multiple scenarios, each including:
- Initial Briefing: Overview of the case and objectives.
- Simulation Scene: Interactive session with a 3D virtual patient where participants can ask questions, perform physical examinations, monitor vital signs, order tests, and more.
- Feedback Area: Review and analysis of the decisions made during the simulation.
Body Interact and Angels Initiative have developed 3 virtual simulations for nurses with the focus on decision making in hyperacute stroke care.
Course Duration:
Each scenario is adjustable, but it is recommended that you allocate 20 minutes per scenario to ensure thorough engagement and learning. The estimated total course duration for nurses is 1 hour.
Course Certificate:
To receive a certificate of completion, participants must complete all cases allocated to their specialty.
