Meet the Champions

Amazing teachers, committed children, adult advocates, and engaged grandparents inspired the FAST Heroes community when they were named award winners at the FAST Heroes Summit in Bratislava at the end of June. These winners may not be doctors or nurses, many of them are years away from being old enough to drive . . . but they're all on a mission to save lives.

Leaderboard Award categories

This year, learners were recognised in three Leaderboard Award categories: Super School, Fantastic Class, and Incredible Individual.

These awards are based on participation in our online activities, everything from games and videos to workbooks. The leaderboards play an important role in inspiring children, giving them a fun and visible way to stay engaged, return to the FAST website, and continue building their knowledge of what to do when stroke strikes.

The 10 Top Super Schools came from Slovakia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and Spain.

The award went to ZŠ P.O. Hviezdoslava in Slovakia:

Our winner is a truly special part of the FAST Heroes family, affectionately known as “super-grandma” by the children. Through regular visits, storytelling, and a warm connection with the class, she has become a source of inspiration far beyond her own family. By sharing her perspective and helping children understand the importance of recognising warning signs, she brought the program to life in a meaningful and memorable way, empowering young learners to better protect the people they love, while also helping extend that impact into the wider community.

Congratulations to Venetia Strataki from Greece!

These children embody everything FAST Heroes stands for. Their courage, commitment, and passion remind us why this program matters and give us absolute confidence that the future of stroke awareness is in incredible hands.
